Any applicant who has successfully completed the 4-Hour Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities course will satisfy the Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities training requirements of Section A-VI/1 and Table A-VI/1-4 of the STCW Code.
Those successfully completing the course will have acquired a better understanding and knowledge of Personal Safety and Social Responsibilities in general and in particular as they relate to living and working aboard operational merchant ships, in accordance with resolution 22 STCW convention, as amended. Topics include drugs and alcohol safety, sexual harassment, shipboard and safety, communication between management and employees.
